Surviving Quarantine: Cloud Campaign Style

August is upon us, which means we are well on our way to shaking off this terrible thing they call “2020”! It’s been a year to remember, and so much has happened that it’s hard to keep track of what day of the week it is any more. Our team, like many others, has been working remotely for quite a while now, (has it been months? years? centuries?… we aren’t sure), but we’ve all crafted our own little 2020 survival techniques to get us through.

At CloudCampaign, we are big on team collaboration, so we thought it would be fun to share out 2020 Quarantine Survival Tips with you as well!

Get Outdoors!

Camping, hiking, climbing – whatever your passion may be, getting outdoors will do wonders for your mental health. Whether it’s a walk in the park, or scaling Half Dome, try doing anything you can do to get in touch with nature.

Learn a New Language:

Your future self will thank you. When you can finally hop on a plane and find yourself on a beautiful beach in Mexico, you’ll look back on 2020 with nothing but fond memories, as you now know how to order “Una cerveza, por favor…”

Pick up an Instrument:

The very best thing about us all being stuck at home is that you can close your door, and very few people can hear you. Now is the perfect time to learn the bagpipes, or whatever other instrument you’ve had your eyes on…

Establish a Routine:

There are more studies to count that show that making your bed every morning improves overall productivity, but there are a number of other ways to introduce routines to help get you through. How about trying a new cuisine from around the world every Friday, or listening to a new daily news podcast at breakfast?

Netflix & Chill!

With the days of Tiger King now behind us, it’s more important than ever to keep an up-to-date list of great Movies and TV shows that you need to watch. Get that list together, and start checking them off one by one! If you’re short of ideas, I know a group of 10 Cloud Campaigners who may be able to help…

Stay Connected:

Zoom fatigue is a real thing, but it’s important to stay connected with friends and family while stuck at home. If you don’t fancy chatting to your in-laws and 3rd cousins, how about setting up a call with a llama at a virtual petting zoo? That’s so 2020.

Game Nights!

At Cloud Campaign we are big fans of virtual team game nights! Recently our Trivia night, (“The Office” style), was a big hit, and Campaigner Heather also recommends “TableTop Simulator” for playing almost any board game virtually, with friends!

Take a Trip:

Cloud Campaign co-Founder and COO, Ross Gray, recommends getting out there and taking a trip! (If it’s safe, of course). If you’ve got a pup, bring them with you for added fun. Did you know, Cloud Campaign has almost as many fur babies as we do team members?

Incorporate Daily Walks:

Taking time out of your day to stretch your lets, get some sunshine, and go “plant spotting” can be a great way to break up that crazy work-from-home schedule. This can also be a great way to meet up with friends, while adhering to the social distancing guidelines. Pro tip: fill your favorite coffee tumbler with a cocktail to stay hydrated on your walk…

Do The Thing!

You know, that “thing” that’s been on your list for forever that you just haven’t had time to do…? Take time to do tasks you’ve been excited to try but never had the time for! Campaigner Casie is in the process of building a makeup vanity that she has always wanted but never had the time to put that much effort into. It’s the perfect time to do timely activities that may be thrown to the side outside of quarantine

Nap Through It!

We highly recommend napping from now until 2021, but if you have too much on your plate for that, Campaigner Casie recommends 4PM naps… they’re amazing!!

So, if you’ve been wondering what our team has been up to outside of Cloud Campaign, there you have it!! We’d love to hear your thoughts on how you’ve been getting through the chaos of 2020. Give us a shoutout on FacebookInstagramTwitter or LinkedIn, and let our team know!Sharing is caring after all! Well, depending on the context…
